Optimization and transformation of fan control mode in power cabinet of bulb tubular unit of hydropower station

Abstract: In hydropower station bulb-type tubular turbine units, the control method for the bulb head power cabinet fans typically employs atmospheric pressure forced ventilation with closed-loop circulation and primary cooling. The ventilation system primarily consists of air coolers, fans, guide vanes, and wind deflectors. The generator adopts a forced radial magnetic yoke ventilation system. Six to eight fans installed in the rear air duct of the air cooler generate the driving force for the generator's airflow. However, most systems suffer from high energy consumption, excessive mechanical wear due to high motor rotational speeds, and frequent bearing failures.
